'My cat hates only 1 person': Sweet cat who loves everyone relentlessly hates a single man who has done nothing wrong to her, leading him to do everything he can to win her over

If a cat is generally friendly, but there is only one person that she hates, then there has to be something very special about that person.

At least, that is what we instinctively think. We always tell people to trust their cats. Believe the signs that your cats give you. If your cat hates your boyfriend, then there is generally a reason for it. A bad vibe. An incorrect kind of feeling. And if your cat is reacting like this, then you should keep one eye open. If your cat keeps running away from your roommate, listen to it, take notice.

Of course, just like people, sometimes… cats just don't bond with some of us. Cats can love some people while simply tolerating others. And that should be okay too. After noticing the signs, listening to your cat, and then doing your own investigation of the person, if you find out that the person is actually cool with cats, then maybe your cat just- doesn't like them. And that's cool too.

Oh, the way that we would be completely and utterly heartbroken if this happened to us. We make it our life's mission to make every single cat that we see like us. We go out of our way. We pet them, we feed them, we give them space when they ask for it. We cannot say that we have ever had a cat outright hate us. And if what is happening to this man were to happen to us, we think that we would cry an entire ocean.

This would be our theory as well. When cats bond, they bond hard, and we have seen, even in our own cats, their ability to get jealous. The first time that my spouse slept over at my place, in my twin bed, my cat was so confused and jealous that, despite how scared of him she was at the time, she still crawled into the bed between us and claimed her spot by my side. Because I am her human, not his.

We have to say that this was literally our first thought as well. Let it not be us. We don't know why it should be us in the first place, but the mere thought that it might be sent chills down our spines. We need all cats to love us, otherwise we lose all direction in life. It is that simple. Healthy? Maybe not. But certainly simple.
